Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, with custom pick-ups available before the official start at 9 AM. After a stop at the scenic Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, continue to Kambu Mara Camp, located 15 minutes from Sekenani Gate, Masai Mara. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural immersion at a Maasai village, where you'll meet the Maasai people, learn about their customs, and witness the Adumu dance. You'll visit the Maasai Beads Museum in Sekenani town, where you'll learn about the cultural significance of their intricate beadwork. After this enriching experience and a brief tour of the town, return to camp for a delicious dinner. Game Viewing - Big Cats, and Thrilling Sightings

After an early breakfast, head out by 7 AM for a full-day safari in the Masai Mara. Your guide will follow well-known routes with a focus on the grassy plains, heading north for big cat sightings and opportunities to spot the Big 5—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino and common herbivores including the famous Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, and more. If coming during Migration period, you'll spend more time along major crossing points. Use Mammals Handbook provided to get interesting info on each sighting you come across. Super helpful resource.

Enjoy a packed lunch at Mara River's Purungat Bridge, where you’ll spot hippos and crocodiles basking along the river. In the afternoon, your guide will help capture memorable photos and share insights on Mara conservation, and fun discussions—like whether zebras are black with white stripes or white with black stripes. It’s a day full of adventure and laughter. Return to camp for dinner and another night under the stars.
