Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, a bustling city home to over 4 million people. You will enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, with a stop at the viewpoint to capture breathtaking photos of this geological wonder. Continuing the journey, you'll arrive at the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, famous for its vast landscapes and abundant wildlife.
Upon arrival at Keekorok Lodge, located in the heart of the Masai Mara and renowned for its luxury amenities, you’ll check in and enjoy a hot lunch. After some relaxation, the excitement begins with an afternoon game drive starting at 4:00 PM. Look out for the famous Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino—as well as cheetahs, zebras, and giraffes. As the sun sets over the savannah, you’ll return to Keekorok Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, where you can unwind in comfort.

Start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge and visit Masai Village to learn about the Masai culture before embarking on a full-day game drive through the Masai Mara. This is your chance to truly explore the park’s rich wildlife and natural beauty. With your experienced guide, you’ll visit key areas of the reserve where you’re likely to encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards, and more. You’ll also visit the Mara River, a famous location for witnessing the Great Migration (July-September), where wildebeests and zebras cross the river in a dramatic spectacle.
You’ll enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic spot in the reserve, possibly by the river, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. In the afternoon, the game drive continues, offering more opportunities to see the park's varied wildlife. By evening, return to Keekorok Lodge, where you can relax, enjoy a sumptuous dinner, and perhaps indulge in some stargazing as you reflect on your safari experiences.

Return to Nairobi

After an early breakfast at the camp, you'll check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Upon arriving in the lush suburb of Karen, named after Danish author Karen Blixen, you'll stop for lunch at the charming Karen Blixen Coffee Garden. Optional activities include a visit to the adjacent Karen Blixen Museum, offering insights into Kenya's colonial history and Blixen's life. In the afternoon, visit the Giraffe Center to interact with endangered Rothschild giraffes and learn about conservation efforts. If time allows, enjoy a stop at a local mall for last-minute gift shopping. You can choose to be dropped off at a hotel or continue your adventure with an extra day for a full-day safari.
For an unforgettable evening, opt for dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant, where you'll enjoy skewers of roasted meats, including exotic game, served rodizio-style. The lively atmosphere makes it a must for meat lovers, concluding your adventure on a high note before returning to your hotel.
