Ngorongoro Cater

Ngorongoro Cater

Ngorongoro, a massive crater on the edge of the Serengeti in Tanzania, was formed by the collapse of a volcano. The crater floor lies at approximately 1,700 meters (5,600 feet), while the side walls rise between 400 and 600 meters, placing the crater rim at around 2,300 meters (7,500 feet). The crater spans about 20 kilometers in diameter.

Home to around 25,000 wild animals, Ngorongoro has the highest density of predators in Africa. It is teeming with zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes, and gazelles, which are hunted by lions, hyenas, and leopards. Elephants also roam the crater, alongside hippos, which are rare in this region. Additionally, 10 to 15 endangered black rhinos inhabit the area. The Great Migration of the Serengeti herds also passes through Ngorongoro.

The tour concludes in Arusha at 5:00 p.m., where you will be dropped off at your hotel of choice.
