Whatever time you arrive, try to dedicate a little to yourself after a tiring journey. Enjoy the sun by the pool, treat yourself to a rejuvenating massage, delve into the pages of a captivating book.

As night falls, we’ll gather for a dinner before tomorrows adventure begins.

Day 2

After breakfast we set out of the lodge at 0700hrs, we’ll traverse rugged, scenic landscapes over a 4 ½ hour journey, immersing ourselves in the raw beauty of the region.
Upon arrival, our safari adventure begins immediately with an en-route game drive through this captivating wilderness. The hot, dry climate adds to the authenticity of the experience, setting the stage for unforgettable encounters with nature.
We’ll check in early at the Samburu Simba Lodge, where a delicious lunch awaits.

After lunch, take a leisurely siesta or refresh yourself in the lodge’s inviting swimming pool, a perfect respite from the midday sun. As the afternoon unfolds, an exclusive evening game drive. The Samburu Reserve is renowned for the “Special Five”: the reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, beisa oryx, and secretary bird. Additionally, the reserve teems with diverse wildlife, including majestic elephants, regal lions, elusive leopards, swift cheetahs, and graceful gazelles.

Visiting Reteti Elephant Orphanage is an unforgettable adventure where you’ll witness the heartwarming rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants up close. You’ll watch playful baby elephants during feeding time, enjoy their joyous mud baths, and learn about their medical care. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the local Samburu community who run this groundbreaking sanctuary.

After our visit to Reteti, we will embark on an extraordinary adventure that immerses you in the vibrant culture and traditions of the Samburu people.

You’ll explore traditional manyattas, marvel at the intricate beadwork adorning their colorful attire, and observe daily activities like cattle herding, food preparation and listen to enthralling stories from the elders.
We shall return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon game drive in search of cats of Samburu and the “Special 5” (Reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich and Beisa oryx.).

Day 4

Transfer from Samburu to lake Naivasha

Transfer from Samburu to lake Naivasha

Today, we shall leave our lodge at 0730hrs and set off to Lake Naivasha National Park. The journey is a 4 ½ hrs drive. Arrive in time for lunch at our lodge in Naivasha. You have some hours to relax as you enjoy the lodge. You may opt to take a boat ride in the afternoon at the Lake Naivasha at 1600hrs. You will come close to the aquatic birdlife such as the white pelicans, pied king fisher, giant kingfisher, cormorant, African darter, fish eagle, resident hippos and see the giraffes, zebras, impalas on the crescent island. This is such an awesome experience you would want to miss out.

After the boat-rde, proceed for dinner at the lodge.

Early Morning breakfast followed by departure at 0730hrs heading south west to the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Named after the indigenous inhabitants of the area, the Maasai, it is one of the World’s richest wildlife reserve and home to the spectacular 8th world wonder ‘The wildebeest migration’.

Imagine a place where the golden savanna stretches endlessly, the horizon is dotted with acacia trees, and the air is alive with nature’s symphony—welcome to the Maasai Mara, the vibrant heart of Africa. This enchanting wilderness is home to lions, cheetah, giraffes, and majestic elephant herds. This September we are here to witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration, where over a million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles brave dangerous rivers and predators, showcasing life’s resilience.
Afternoon game drive across the beautiful dotted plains of Mara in search for large prides of lions and other cat’s family species, have dinner and overnight stay at a Lodge.

Maasai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the wild world. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree studded Savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.

Over the next two days, we’ll embark on thrilling game drives through the Maasai Mara, eagerly seeking encounters with Africa’s iconic Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros—and with any luck, witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration in action. Our journey may lead us to the Mara River crossings, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra brave crocodile-infested waters, a dramatic testament to nature’s enduring cycle of life and survival.

Picnic lunch shall be by the Mara river as we watch hippos & crocodiles and hopefully ‘The Great Migration’ crossing.

Our journey may lead us to the Mara River crossings, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra brave crocodile-infested waters, a dramatic testament to nature’s enduring cycle of life and survival.

later in the evening we will enjoy the magical Mara Sunset experience with a glass of wine as we celebrate our magical sightings.
