Our 5-day safari begins with a scenic journey from Maun to the Khwai Concession, known for its rich wildlife and beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, you'll settle into your camp nestled in the wild. This budget camping safari uses small to medium-sized tents. The shower and toilet are shared and camp staff will take care of all the chores. After a relaxing afternoon at camp, you'll embark on your first game drive. As you explore the floodplains and woodlands, keep your eyes peeled for elephants, lions, and antelopes, among others. The day concludes with a delicious dinner under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Day 2 starts with an early breakfast at camp, followed by a morning game drive through the wildlife-rich Khwai Concession. The cooler morning hours are perfect for spotting predators like lions, leopards, and wild dogs as they hunt, as well as elephants and buffalo moving through the floodplains. Your guide will lead you to key wildlife hotspots, enhancing your experience with insights into animal behavior and the local ecosystem.

After a thrilling morning, return to camp for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a mokoro excursion, a traditional dugout canoe ride, which offers a peaceful and immersive way to explore Khwai’s waterways. As you glide through the channels, you’ll have the chance to see aquatic life, bird species, and perhaps even hippos or crocodiles up close. The day ends with a beautiful sunset, followed by dinner around the campfire, reflecting on the day's unforgettable encounters in this pristine wilderness.

After breakfast, you’ll pack up and journey from Khwai to the Xini area of Moremi Game Reserve. The drive offers stunning views as you transition from Khwai’s floodplains to Moremi’s landscapes, renowned for its dense populations of wildlife. Keep an eye out for roaming elephants, giraffes, and perhaps even a shy leopard crossing the road.

Once you arrive at your new campsite in Xini, you’ll have time to settle in before heading out on an afternoon game drive. This budget camping safari uses small to medium-sized tents and the shower and toilet are shared. Camp staff will take care of all the chores.

The Xini area is known for its diverse habitats, making it a hotspot for wildlife activity. Your afternoon drive will focus on tracking predators like lions while also spotting large herbivores such as buffalo, zebras, and impalas. Day 4 kicks off with an early breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive in the Xini area of Moremi. Known for its rich wildlife, this area offers the chance to see elephants, lions, leopards, and more as they roam through diverse landscapes. Keep an eye out for vibrant bird species that thrive in this region. After an exciting morning, return to camp for lunch and some relaxation.

In the late afternoon, embark on another game drive when the cooler temperatures bring animals out of hiding. Your guide will lead you to key areas, perhaps near waterholes where animals gather to drink. This time of day is also perfect for spotting predators like lions or leopards preparing for their evening hunts. As the sun sets, creating a stunning backdrop, return to camp for a hearty dinner. Return to Maun

On your final day, you’ll enjoy a relaxed breakfast at camp, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of Moremi Game Reserve one last time. After breakfast, the team will begin packing up the camp in preparation for the journey back to Maun. There are no scheduled activities for the day, allowing you to reflect on the incredible experiences and wildlife encounters from the past few days.

Once everything is packed, you’ll embark on the drive back to Maun, passing through the beautiful landscapes you’ve come to know during your safari. Upon arrival in Maun, you’ll be transferred either to the airport for your flight or to your hotel, marking the end of your 5-day safari. It’s a day to unwind and appreciate the memories of your time in the wilderness before bidding farewell to Botswana’s magnificent wildlife and landscapes.
