Travel from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, you'll meet our professional driver-guide at your accommodation, the airport, or another preferred location within the city. From there, you'll begin your journey to Mikumi National Park, a scenic 4-5 hour drive with a picnic lunch stop along the way.

Upon arrival at Mikumi, you'll be welcomed by the park’s iconic baobab trees, rising majestically against the African savannah. Your first game drive will take you through a variety of landscapes, from vast open grasslands to lush woodlands. Keep your eyes open for the park's renowned wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and zebras, all roaming freely in their natural habitat.

In the evening, you'll return to your accommodation for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at Tanapa Cottages, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s adventure.

Start your day early with a cup of coffee before entering Mikumi National Park for an exciting game drive, complete with a breakfast box from your accommodation. A delicious lunch will be served in the park, after which you’ll resume the game drive, exploring even more of the park’s beauty until sunset. You’ll then return to your accommodation for a satisfying dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will proceed with the final game drive. You'll witness the park's wildlife awakening in the golden light of dawn. After a thrilling morning safari, you'll return to Mikumi Bandas for a hearty continental breakfast. Fuel up for the journey ahead and savor the last moments of your African adventure.

You'll embark on your journey back to Dar es Salaam, stopping for a delicious hot lunch in Morogoro town. Upon arrival, you'll be dropped off at your designated location within the city.
