Day 1

Nairobi

You’ll arrive in Nairobi and be transferred to west wood hotel. Check-in, have lunch and relax. Visit the Nairobi Arboretum which is home to over 350 species of indigenous and exotic plants. Look out for the towering trees and vibrant flowers. The Arboretum is also a haven for birdwatchers with numerous species to photograph. The walking trails offer beautiful compositions with natural light filtering through the trees. You might spot monkeys and other small wildlife, adding dynamic elements to your shots. The Open Glades are perfect for wide-angle shots capturing the expansive greenery. Other best spots for photography includes, small ponds and streams which provide opportunities for reflective photography and some trees like the Himalayan cypress planted in 1907 which has a historical significance. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Wake up early, have breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. Check-in and have lunch. Head to Lion Hill for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscapes. The park is home to over 400 species of birds. Proceed for a walk along the shores of the lake. Use a telephoto lens to capture birds in flight or perched on trees. Capture the iconic pink flamingos along the shores of Lake. Spot the Rothschild Giraffes, these endangered giraffes are often seen browsing the acacia trees.
