In the morning, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. Serengeti National Park is known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the Big Five, which are so named because they are the 5 most prized animal trophies sought after by hunters. The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa (roughly 3,000) due to the abundance of prey that lives here. The African leopard is a reclusive predator commonly seen in the Seronera region but is present throughout the park. The park is home to lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelle, crocodile, and more. Many birds, including the Eurasia migrants, can be seen. Its population is estimated to be about 1,000.
After the game drive, you will head to your campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.
