Pick up from any spot of your choice, hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and the surrounding areas

Our representative guide/driver will pick you from your hotel or any spot in Entebbe, Kampala and the surrounding areas. Meet greet and start the journey with a stopover at Uganda Equator point for lunch, water experiment and picture moments. There are also opportunities for shopping for souvenirs from the several shops around. From here we continue and drive straight to park for walking safari before checking in our lodge for refreshments, dinner and overnight stay. This evening, we may plan for an optional night game drive to look for Leopard and other nocturnal animals and birds in the park.
In the middle of an extensive rich acacia woodland forest alongside short grass, dotted with a few Euphorbias, lies this spectacular and breathtaking game park, Lake Mburo. It is the best park to view the gigantic eland antelope, impala, Giraffes, zebras and acacia associated birds.

Life on the farm experience, bush breakfast, walking safari and later boat trip along the lake

We shall start off very early in the morning and participate in the activities of the cattle keepers, learn about their day-to-day life on the firm. We do a bush breakfast after here before embarking yet on another walking safari in the park. Lunch break will be along the Lake before we join others on a boat cruise along Lake Mburo. The boat trip is such a rewarding experience with schools of hippos yawning and snorting near the shoreline, Crocodiles basking in the sun, plus numerous birds including the faithful Africa Fish Eagle!
This evening before we retire to our lodge for dinner, we shall yet again join the cattle keepers to pick from where we left in the morning and complete the experience as the cows are preparing to go to sleep. From here, we head back to the Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

From Lake Mburo to Kampala/Entebbe with an optional visit to Mabamba Wetland for the Shoebill

From Lake Mburo to Kampala/Entebbe with an optional visit to Mabamba Wetland for the Shoebill

On this last day of our tour, we shall do another last stroll in the park on a game drive before driving back to Kampala/Entebbe. Along the way to Kampala, we have planned an optional detour to Mabamba Swamp to see the Iconic Shoebill.
Mabamba Bay Wetland system is a spanning 16,500ha area along the shores of Lake Victoria, North-west of Entebbe. It is among the 33 Important Bird Areas in Uganda described and listed as a wetland of International Importance during the Ramsar COP9 held in Kampala, Uganda in November 2005 for the conservation of Key protected bird species; the pre-historic Shoebill, Papyrus Gonolek and the Blue Swallow. Found in a few marshes of East Africa, this whale-headed stork like bird, is classified as vulnerable and is a bucket-list sighting for any bird enthusiast. Save the shoebill; the experience of paddling through man-made channels and lagoons, traversing fishermen, several plants with beautiful flowers, the papyrus reed beds, and birdlife is so rewarding.
