Day 1

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depart from Kampala or Entebbe early in the morning. Enjoy a scenic drive through Uganda’s countryside, with views of terraced hillsides, lush landscapes, and vibrant local villages. You will stop for lunch in Mbarara town, then continue your journey towards Bwindi. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon or early evening. Check-in and relax after the journey, soaking in the serene atmosphere of the forest. Dinner will be served from the lodge.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Have an early breakfast at the lodge and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and guidelines.
Set off into the forest with your guide and tracker, beginning the trek to find a gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorilla's location. Once the gorillas are located, you'll spend up to one hour observing them as they go about their daily activities—feeding, playing, resting, and interacting with each other. After the trek, return to the park headquarters for your trekking certificate. Return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and lunch. Optional: Visit a nearby community to learn about local culture, including the Batwa pygmies, and their traditional ways of life. Return and relax at the lodge, reflecting on the incredible experience of the day with dinner at the lodge.

Day 3

Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, then check out. Begin the drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, with stops along the way for photos and souvenirs. Stop for lunch in Mbarara or Masaka town. Continue your journey back, passing through the equator where you can take photos and purchase local crafts.
Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your safari.
