2 travelers on Start dateWe will collect you from your hotel at 7:30 am, and after getting acquainted with your guide, you'll embark on a drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes). Renowned for its varied landscape, the park is famous for its ancient baobab trees and the highest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, offering a unique opportunity to observe the interactions within elephant families. Your game drive will follow animal sightings, with a focus on spotting predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which are more elusive, while herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras are abundant.
Later, you'll head to the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can enjoy a scenic view of the river and wildlife while having lunch. Small monkeys and baboons may try to snatch your food, but there’s no need to worry.
Afterward, you'll continue your game drive before exiting the park around 4:30 pm and heading back to Arusha. Meals are included.
