We meet our tour guide for the Kenya & Uganda safari at the airport in Nairobi in the morning. So plan for a flight with morning arrival or add a night in Nairobi to arrive the day before. Straight away we start the journey towards the lodge by Masai Mara. In the afternoon we make a community visit to a Masai village to see how this fascinating people live.

Experience Masai mara
Masai Mara is one of East Africa’s most famous reserves, The Mara consists of undulating hills and great rolling grasslands that undoubtedly sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa, if not the world. The whole day is dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve. Here lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle and other plains game are abundant. But not forgetting the hundreds of species of birds. If we wake up with luck, we can watch a lion, cheetah or leopard hunting or feasting on its kill. What an exhilarating experience!

Transfer to lake Nakukuru and Game drive
After breakfast we leave the area of Masai Mara and head towards Lake Nakuru national park, the second park of our Kenya & Uganda safari. It is an interesting drive letting you see the salt lakes and go through Naivasha area. In the afternoon we head out for a game-drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famous for its millions of seasonal pink flamingos and other aquatic birds. Here rhinos, zebra, gazelle, buffalo, leopard, and waterbuck can easily and closely be spotted. There is an excellent chance of spotting rhino, of which there is a healthy population here. There is a stunning view from the top of the hills above the lake, and here we may see the Rock hyrax; this tiny creature is the elephant’s nearest relative!

Transfer to Uganda Jinja
This morning we set off towards Malaba border to continue in to Uganda. Passing through Eldoret, the fourth largest city in Kenya and then continue to the Ugandan border. The border crossing can be slow but we leave plenty of time, and it can be an interesting experience. Continue on to the town of Jinja to spend this first night in Uganda during your Kenya & Uganda safari.

Source of the Nile and Transfer to Kibale National Park
In Jinja the Victoria Nile meets Lake Victoria and the source of the mighty river Nile is found. In the morning you go for a boat-ride to see the source of the Nile. After that we start the journey towards the lodge by Kibale Forest. Along the way we can stop at a tea plantation to stretch and check in late afternoon. A night by this forest gives you the calls from the nocturnal life plus famous Frog concerts in this forest area revealing a true pristine Africa.

Chimpanze tracking and transfer to areas of Rwenzori
Chimp trekking is on the agenda today during your Kenya & Uganda safari. We leave the lodge after breakfast with a packed picnic lunch along. You head into the forest with a specialized guide to trek to see our close cousins the chimpanzees. Kibale N.P is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. Here you have a chance to see them close and capture close shots of them in the Jungle in their frenzy exciting moods grooming, building relationship, bringing up young ones, think, share food etc! Plus 9 different species of Monkeys- red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies on a great day. After the trek we head towards the lodge by Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through the crater lakes region.

Boat cruise and village walk in Queen Elizabeth National park
In the morning we head out for a guided village walk in the area of the lodge. During the walk we visit a cacao & vanilla farmer to see how these grow and learn more about life as a farmer in Uganda. We then continue on to a set of twin crater lakes for a nice view. In the afternoon we get ready for the Classic highlights of the boat-cruise on the famous Kazinga channel. This is a 36km channel linking Lake George – Lake Edward. Here you can see hippopotamuses, Nile crocodile, warthog and magnificent view of birds. As well as animals like the ever playing African elephants in waters.

Game drive in queen elizabeth national park and transfer to Ishasha
Discover Queen Elizabeth national park with an early morning game-drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along the and many more species that are residents to this park. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. In the afternoon we start the journey southwards through Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Ishasha sector. This is an adventurous drive with chance to see animals along the way. We arrive in the late afternoon at the lodge at the edge of the Ishasha sector.

Game drive in Ishash searching for the tree climbing lions
In the morning we head out for a game-drive in Ishasha wilderness sector. This adventurous vast savannah area gives chance to see herds of Topis, the southern version of Elephants and Cape Buffalo. Adding to this is the excitement of searching the big fig trees for tree-climbing lions. Thereafter we drive back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon we make the journey to Bwindi mountains.

Gorilla tracking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Early breakfast, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. You head into the jungle in a group with a specialized guide and trek to the point where the gorillas are. An unforgettable hour is then spent with the gorillas. This Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterfly and plant species plus forest hog, forest Elephants, Statungas and Dikers. In the afternoon yo relax as you take in the amazing experience you have just had.

Transfer to kisoro
We enjoy a relaxed breakfast to then make the transfer to the town Kisoro where the night will be spent. Along the way we make stops to take in lovely scenery and experience the country side.
Kisoro is a small district located in the southwestern part of Uganda. Kisoro, which borders both Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a hub for mountain gorilla tourism. Kisoro is home to two of Uganda's most famous national parks: Bwindi National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Golden monkey tracking and transfer to lake Mburo national park
After breakfast we head over to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park where you will head into the jungle for the last time for this safari. Here you will trek to see Golden Monkey. We then start the journey to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey takes us past rolling hills and on to the savannah of Lake Mburo National Park.

Safari walk and shoe bill stock
This morning offers a safari walk from the lodge. Here we have a chance to see the parks wildlife while on foot. Afterwards we start the journey to Entebbe. Along the way we make a lunch stop at the Equator and you can pose on the spot where the northern and southern hemispheres meet. Shoebill Stork. Continue on to reach the lodge by Entebbe, to spend the last night of your safari on the shores of Lake Victoria.
