Day 1

Maasai Village

After your morning breakfast, you will leave your hotel in Moshi with a picnic lunch in hand and drive to the Maasai Village, where you will get to meet the Maasai people and learn about their way of life. You will walk around the village, see their livestock, and be entertained by a Maasai dance. The evening will end at the lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive with a picnic lunch to Serengeti National Park. You will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where the road is very rough and dusty. This is a massive park where you are likely to see the Big Five and other common animals like wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, hippos, cheetahs, elands, warthogs, hyenas, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, and many species of birds. Later on, after the game drives, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Your day will start with an early morning game drive in Serengeti, if it is on a clear day you will take in the magnificent Serengeti sunrise and spot some of the nocturnal animals as they return to their dens. After breakfast, you will enjoy another game drive on your way to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and the Rhino Lodge, where you will have dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will start to descend the 600m high walls to the crater floor with your picnic lunch in tow. You will explore this amazing area which supports over 25,000 animal species, the majority being permanent residents of the crater, which has enough pasture and water to support them year-round. Animals likely to be seen are black rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions, cheetahs, warthogs, hippos, hyenas, buffalos, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons and many species of birds, including the heaviest flying bird (Kori Bustard) and the smallest (larks). You will eat your lunch at the hippo pool and proceed with a final game drive as you ascend back out of the crater. From here, you will drive back to Moshi or Arusha, where your safari will end.
