Your safari adventure begins with a scenic drive from Entebbe to Gulu, covering approximately 330 kilometers, which takes about 6-7 hours.
As you travel, you'll notice a dramatic change in scenery, from the bustling urban areas and lush green hills of central Uganda to the more open savannahs and rural landscapes of the north. Along the way, you'll pass through traditional villages and farmlands, offering a glimpse into the diverse cultures of Uganda.
Upon arrival in Gulu, you'll check into your accommodation, enjoy a delicious dinner, and rest ahead of the next day's journey to Kidepo.

Day 2

Early in the morning, we will set off for Kidepo Valley National Park, located approximately 220 kilometers from Gulu. The journey takes around 4-5 hours, with scenic views of the Karamoja region, characterized by rolling hills and open savannahs. Upon arrival at the park, you’ll check into your lodge and enjoy a hearty lunch while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings.
In the afternoon, prepare for an exciting game drive through the park, where you can spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and various antelope species, against the stunning backdrop of Kidepo’s dramatic landscapes.

You will start your day with an exhilarating morning game drive through Kidepo Valley National Park. This early excursion offers the best chance to spot predators and other wildlife as they are most active at this time. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, leopards, and herds of buffalo and elephants against the stunning backdrop of the park.

After returning to your lodge for lunch, you’ll embark on a cultural encounter with the Karamojong and Ik people. This immersive experience will allow you to learn about their unique traditions, customs, and way of life. Engage with the locals, witness traditional dances, and gain insights into their rich heritage, making for a memorable afternoon that connects you with the region's vibrant culture.

We will the morning with a visit to the Kanangorok Hot Springs in the remote Kidepo Valley. As you explore this unique area, you'll take in the breathtaking scenery and may spot wildlife such as ostriches and other rare species found in this less-vegetated part of the park.

After the hot springs excursion, you'll begin your journey back to Gulu, enjoying the scenic drive through the Karamoja region once again. Upon arrival in Gulu, you'll check into your accommodation for a relaxed evening and dinner, reflecting on the beauty of Kidepo.

As you travel, you'll once again experience the changing landscapes of Uganda, from the open northern savannahs to the lush greenery of central Uganda. Upon arrival in Entebbe, your safari adventure comes to an end.
