The park is known for its stunning wildebeest migration and provides year-round wildlife watching possibilities. Every year, nearly 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles cross the Serengeti to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. If you go on safari at the correct time, you will see massive herds of wildebeest and zebra reaching as far as the eye can see into the horizon. We will go on a half-day game drive in the Serengeti during the day.

The Serengeti National Park provides some of the best wildlife watching options. All of the major safari animals are plainly visible, including cheetahs and four of the Big Five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards). However, rhino sightings are rare, and the park solely has black rhinos. In addition to the big cats, you can witness a variety of predators, including spotted hyenas, particularly in the morning. A full-day game drive increases the likelihood of sighting a variety of species.

It is not uncommon to witness the Big Five in one day! All of the major safari species exist in large numbers.
