On your arrival you will be welcomed by Alive Africa Adventure representative and will brief you about your trip. He will then transfer you to your hotel for evening relaxation. Relax at the lodge after your long journey. Optional evening walk along the shores of Lake Victoria or a visit to the nearby Botanical Gardens if time permits.

Day 2

Transfer from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary

Transfer from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary

Get ready for early morning departure to Murchison Falls National Park (5-6 hours). You will have enroute Stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. You will then have lunch at a restaurant en route. You will proceed to the park and proceed to hike at the top of the falls to witness the Nile’s powerful surge through a narrow gorge. Then continue and check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

You will get ready for your Morning Game Drive and ready to explore the savannah plains for elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and various antelopes. Then relax as you get ready for other afternoon activities as you enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, you will explore the park on a boat Cruise up to the bottom of the falls. During your trip, you will have an opportunity to spot hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species on the river Nile. On your return, you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Get early morning breakfast a d get ready for a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park and the journey takes approximately 7 hours. You will have lunch En route in Fort Portal city also known as the Tourism city. After your lunch, you will proceed and check in at your lodge in Kibale. You will have an evening relaxation at your lodge, preparing for chimp trekking the next day.

Day 5

Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi swamp and Community walk

You will get up early and have your breakfast and get ready for trekking activity. You will be driven to the starting point by your guide for briefing and set off to the jungle in search of chimpanzees. You will be guided by a game ranger as you look for chimpanzees in their natural habitats. When you find then, you will spend one full hour in their presence. Enjoy the time by observing these amazing primates as you take memorable photos. Get ready to have a memorable experience in Kibale national park which has the highest concentration of primates. It is a primate capital of the world.
In the afternoon, you will explore the local community in a nature walk. Other primates to expect include red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and more.
Bigodi Wetland Walk (Afternoon): After lunch, take a nature walk in Bigodi Wetlands, rich in birdlife and primate sightings.

Day 6

On this day, you will park your bags and embark on a road to Queen Elizabeth National Park (about 3 hours). You will get a chance to visit the crater lakes for scenic view. You will then proceed to the lodge for lunch and check in. Later in the
evening, get ready for game drive. Wildlife to expect include; big cats like lions and leopard, elephants, and other wildlife in the Kasenyi Plains.

Wake up early in the morning for another Game Drive. You will explore the savannah for a chance to see leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and lions and lots of bird species like black-headed gonolek, white-browed coucal, long-crested eagle and many more. Then in the afternoon, you get ready for Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel. This is an exciting adventure where you can sight high concentration of hippos and other animals. On this channel you will also have a chance of sightings, crocodiles, and numerous water birds like African jacana, black crake and many more.

Day 9

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After an early briefing, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience: trekking to find the endangered mountain gorillas. The trek can last anywhere between 2-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. You will spend one full hour with the gorillas after finding them. After this experience you will return to your lodge for hot lunch and some relaxation. In the evening you will have a Batwa/pygmies community encounter. These are the indigenous people who occupied the forest with the gorillas before it was gazated to be a national park.

After breakfast, depart for Kigali, crossing the Uganda-Rwanda border (4-5 hours). You will take a short time cross checking your papers like visa and passport before crossing to Rwanda. Get your East Africa tourist visa ready to avoid any inconvenience. You will then proceed to Kigali city and check-in at your hotel.
Optional Afternoon Activity: Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and recovery.
