Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Be picked up early by your Uganda Safari guide in Kampala or Entebbe and start off toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, you will make a stop at the equator for the experience of standing with one foot on either side of the Southern and Northern Hemispheres. Continuing on, you will have lunch either in the town of Mbarara or at the lodge, depending on the time. Enjoy the views from the lodge and relax in the evening.

Wake up early for a game drive in the Kasenyi part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here you have the chance to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, an abundance of birds and more. After lunch, you’re Uganda Safari guide will take you on the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This two-hour boat ride is a great highlight where you can look for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and warthogs along the shores of the channel.

Day 3

Tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and transfer to Bwindi

Head off to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning. The drive goes along an adventurous road and you have the chance of seeing baboons and elephants along the way. In Ishasha you can find topis and buffaloes, and search for the tree-climbing lions. The lions in this area are famous for climbing up great fig trees to take a rest. After finishing your game drive, the Uganda Safari journey goes on to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy the changing landscape as the car slowly climbs up toward the misty mountains of the gorillas.

You have now reached the highlight of this "Discover Uganda" safari - the gorilla trekking day. You’re Uganda Safari guide will take you to the starting point of the gorilla trekking in the morning and you set off for your adventure. The trek takes you through the jungle up to the point where the gorillas are and you get to spend one hour with them. When you are back from the gorilla trekking, you’re Uganda Safari guide takes you to the stunningly beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.

After breakfast, you start off with your Uganda Safari guide toward Lake Mburo National Park. A landscape of rolling green hills will pass by the windows. You will reach the town of Mbarara for lunch and then continue to the lodge in Lake Mburo National Park. Before you check in at the lodge, you will spot some animals like zebras, impalas and Ankole long-horned cattle.

Safari walk and game drive

Start the day early with a Uganda Safari Walk in Lake Mburo National Park. Experience being one with nature as you see the animals at close range during the walk. Have breakfast at the lodge and relax a bit before lunch. After lunch, it is time for your game drive in the park where you can see impalas and zebras. Return to the lodge to enjoy your last evening in Uganda’s national parks on this "Discover Uganda" safari.
