Masai Mara NR to Lake Naivasha NP
Today we will be transiting to yet another amazing destination. After breakfast you will be driven to Lake Naivasha. It is a beautiful freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus. The lake and its environs are rich in natural beauty and the fertile soils and water supply have made this one of Kenya`s prime agricultural regions. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow-barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with bird life which makes Naivasha a world-class birding destination. In addition, the lakes waters draw a great range of wildlife to its shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, buffalos wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lakes large hippo population sleeps the day out in the shallows. An optional boat ride at the lake can be arranged at an extra cost. You will spend your night at the resort.
