Drive Addis Ababa - Wenchi Crater Lake

Morning after an early breakfast drive to Wenchi crater lake 150km west to Addis. On arrival we set for hiking The Bagoba-Abagalalcha trail taking you along the rim of the lake and down to the valley including an adventurous round trip through the hot springs and waterfall. On this trail you will see the uniquely shaped deep natural basin and circular slopes which are covered with alpine vegetation and trees then A local boatman will take you across the beautiful Wenchi lake to a small village of wenchi, where you get a unique insight with a homestay experience in the village with local Oromo people.

Wenchi Crater Lake - Addis Ababa

Morning after breakfast visit the local village and see how locals live in this mountain range. Most households rely on agriculture as their main source of income and cultivate enset (false banana tree) and vegetables. Here you experience the local foods, especially honey, Enset-kolo, or local drinks like Arake. On the afternoon return back to Addis.
