Day 1

Upon your arrival in Rwanda, you will be picked by our Renai Adventures representative with your name printed on an A4 paper from Kigali International Airport at and be transferred to Kigali for a city tour visiting the Genocide memorial site which gives a brief history of the country you are visiting.
After that, you will be driven to Akagera National Park with over 12,000 mammals, including Africa’s “Big 5”—lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards as well as over 500 species of birds. After lunch, you will head for an evening game drive.
The park hosts a number of big mammals with the most sought after being Lions, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Zebras, Elephants, and Hippos, which will provide for great photographic moment.
After the drive, you will take a boat trip on Lake Ihema to watch Hippos and crocodiles in the water or by the shores.

We arise early and leave right after breakfast for a game drive in Akagera national park. We will be searching for big mammals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, several Antelope species, and recently the re-introduced Lions and Rhinos.
The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a birders haven with over 500 bird species in the park. At around mid-day, we drive back to Kigali. You will have lunch on your way to Kigali.

After breakfast, drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park. On your arrival in Musanze, you will visit the Dian Fossey Center.
In the evening you will visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village for community interaction to enjoy the Rwandan culture including the traditional dance.

After breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning together with your trekking gear and drinking water and ascend in the forest to trek the Gorillas. Volcanoes National Park is known for its ultimate primate safaris where tourists will get to see a number of primate species.
There are twelve gorilla families living in the Volcanoes National Park, which are fully habituated, with a few others habituated solely for scientific research. The groups, or troops, consist of at least one silverback along with several females and youngsters.
The families are known as Susa, Igisha, Karisimbi, Sabyinyo, Amahoro, Agashya, Kwitonda, Umubano, Hirwa, Bwenge, Ugyenda and Muhoza. Dinner and overnight at Garden Palace Hotel.

After breakfast, you will assemble at the Park headquarters for a briefing in the morning together with your trekking gear and drinking water and ascend in the forest to track the golden monkeys. While participating in golden money trekking you will get to find out interesting facts about golden money that will make your Rwanda tour interesting.
After lunch you will drive to a scenic Lake Kivu bordering Rwanda and DR Congo. After reaching the lake you will enjoy the rest of your evening at the lakeside.

This morning after breakfast, you will do either the Kayaking or boat ride on Lake Kivu and drive to Nyungwe National Park which takes about 2 ½ hrs drive. You will En-route to test again for PCR Covid-19 for your required PCR results on your departure date, it should be valid for 72hours (US $50 per person).
You will have lunch on the way and thereafter continue to Nyungwe National Park arriving for the canopy walk which sets 50 meters above the ground with a 150-meter walkway and is the first of its kind in East Africa and third on the continent after South Africa and Ghana.
It allows visitors to see the forest from above the trees and be at eye level with birds and monkeys that inhabit the upper side of the forest.

Take an early morning breakfast then with your packed lunch drive to this park for the starting point of your chimpanzee trek. There is the Bonobo and the Common Chimpanzee Pan troglodytes (often shortened to Chimpanzee, and sometimes referred to as the Robust Chimpanzee).
Nyungwe National Park is the largest block of Montane forest in East and Central Africa and it is an incredibly rich area of biodiversity.

After breakfast, you will do bike riding at Hell’s gate national park which will take about 2 hours. You will be driven to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at your hotel in the afternoon. After lunch, you will head out for an evening game drive.
Lake Nakuru National Park's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink.
Lake Nakuru National Park has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.

After breakfast, depart for early morning game drive. Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s renowned soda lakes and is world-famous for attracting millions of flamingos to its alkaline shores. Feeding on the abundant algae that grows in the warm and shallow waters, witnessing these legions of fuchsia-pink flamingos is a sight to behold.
After the morning drive, head out to Maasai Mara. You will pass through the floor of the rift valley arriving in the evening. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe over 450 species of animals has been recorded here.

After breakfast half day spend in the park with packed lunch and in search of its well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other animal species.
It is in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture.
In the afternoon, Visit the local Maasai village for a cultural tour. Learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local Maasai people. An overnight at the Maasai village can be organized upon request. Optional Activity at a fee: A balloon safari at USD 600 per person can be organized early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program.
