Game drive and boat cruise

Wake up at 6:00am and have some African tea or coffee before your 6:30am game drive. This is an ideal time to begin your safari, since most animals are active in the early morning. The carnivores are usually hunting around this time and the other animals are on guard – extremely alert so as not to become prey! If you are lucky, you will definitely be a part of this exciting action!

Expect to encounter elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, hyenas, leopards, giant forest hogs, Uganda kobs and lots of savannah birds on this game drive. After two or three hours in the park you will return to the lodge and have breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing by the swimming pool until lunch. After lunch, you will take a 2:00pm boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, where you will see lots of hippos and spectacular birds.

You will return to the lodge for lunch and then drive into the Ishasha wilderness for the evening game drive in search of the tree climbing lions.
