Transfer to Jinja and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Depart from Kampala and head east to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital, which is about a 2–3-hour drive. The journey will take you through the scenic countryside, passing sugarcane and tea plantations. Arrive in Jinja and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or at your accommodation. After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise to the Source of the Nile, the starting point of the world’s longest river. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you learn about the historical and geographical significance of the Nile. Check into your hotel or lodge in Jinja, and enjoy dinner at your accommodation or at one of the local restaurants.

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, depart Jinja and begin the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, located in northwestern Uganda. The drive takes about 6-7 hours, but you will break up the journey with an exciting stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Accompanied by a ranger, you'll have the chance to see rhinos in the wild, contributing to your Big Five safari experience. Enjoy lunch near the sanctuary or en route to Murchison Falls. Continue the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and relax. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying the serene surroundings of the park.

Game Drive, Boat Cruise, and Top of the Falls Visit

Start the day with an early morning game drive in the northern sector of the park. The vast savannah is home to an array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and various antelope species. This is a great time to spot predators and large herds of herbivores. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise on the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls. Along the way, spot hippos, crocodiles, and birds along the riverbanks. After the boat cruise, take a hike to the top of the falls (optional), where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the falls and surrounding landscape before returning to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Morning Game Drive and Departure

Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon, marking the end of your safari.
