4-Day Excellent Safari from Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere NP

Transfer from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park + Boat Safari

You will be picked up from the hotel at 06:00 am and drive to Nyerere. It will take 5 hours to reach, arriving at the lodge or camp for a hot lunch. In the evening, you will have a boat safari on the Rufiji River where you can see hippos, crocodiles, sunsets, birds, etc. The evening safari starts at 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm sunset. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Nyerere tented camp or similar.

Full-Day Game Drive at Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, from 8:00 am until the evening, you will go on a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve). The journey will start from the Lodge where you will be picked up by our professional drivers/guides. Today, you will get to see various animals including lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes and more. You will also see birds, and landscape scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a packed lunch and take some time to rest, then continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will return to the Camp for dinner and overnight and prepare for the next day.

Intensive Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, you will do another full-day game drive until the evening. You will go on different routes from the previous day, starting from the lodge where you will be picked up by our professional drivers and guides. Today, you will get to see various animals including elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and more. You will also see birds, and landscape scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains.

In the afternoon, you will get a packed lunch and some time to rest, then continue with the game drive. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and sleep and to prepare for tomorrow.

Walking Safari + Transfer Back Dar es Salaam

You'll have an early morning tea or coffee at the camp, then start bushman walking safaris, the most exciting experience. It is unique in Tanzania, and you will walk for 3 hours then get back to camp, you'll collect your things and drive back to Dar es Salaam and be dropped off at the ferry or airport/Hotel.
