Day 1

Fly from Zanzibar to Ndutu/Southern Serengeti

Very early in the morning, at 5:30 AM, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transport you to the airport for your flight to the Southern Serengeti. Departing at 7:50 AM, you’ll enjoy a scenic aerial view of Tanzania’s diverse landscapes before landing at Ndutu Airstrip around 11:00 AM. Upon arrival, your experienced safari guide will be there to greet you and kick off your adventure.

You’ll embark on a full-day game drive, exploring the vast plains and encountering Tanzania’s iconic wildlife, as the great migration has concentrated in the Ndutu area.
Later in the evening you will retire to Kontiki Ndutu Camp for a beautiful dinner and overnight.

Dedicate an entire day to exploring the Ndutu area in the Southern Serengeti, where the great migration reaches its peak. Your day will be filled with thrilling game drives, allowing you to witness dramatic predator-prey interactions and heartwarming moments of newborn animals. As you navigate the diverse landscapes, you'll encounter vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, along with their predators, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The Ndutu area is also a birdwatcher's paradise, with numerous species to spot. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by stunning scenery before continuing your adventure into the afternoon, capturing unforgettable memories of this extraordinary natural spectacle.

Day 3

The Ngorongoro Crater

After a hearty breakfast, you'll descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest volcanic calderas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This natural wonder boasts an incredible concentration of wildlife, providing a unique safari experience. During your half-day game drive in the crater, you’ll have the opportunity to spot the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos—as well as other fascinating species like hippos, flamingos, and hyenas.

Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater, where you can take in breathtaking views and the soothing sounds of nature. After lunch, you’ll begin your ascent, relishing the scenic vistas as you make your way back to the Ndutu area.

On Day 4, after breakfast, you’ll check out of the lodge. Our guide will take you to Ndutu Airstrip, ensuring you catch your flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, our driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel, marking the end of your journey with us.
