Day 1

Nairobi- Masai Mara National Reserve

Nairobi- Masai Mara National Reserve

Our company representative will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Nairobi for a scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Have a stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley viewpoint to stretch your legs and photograph the contrasting landscapes, including Mt. Longonot. Proceed through the Rift Valley floor to the Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving at the lodge/camp in good time for lunch. Embark on your first game drive. One of our favourite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That is because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There is a good chance you will also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and impalas. Bring your binoculars because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve. The area's beautiful savannah landscape and lots of acacia trees add to the splendour of the environment.

Famous for the Great Migration, the Park is the only protected area with an indigenous population of the endangered Black Rhinos. All members of the Big Five reside here all year round. African wild dogs are rare due to the stiff competition from the honchos of the jungle, the golden lions, who often decimate their populations. You will explore the park, also you can have an optional activities like visiting Masai village to learn about their culture or a balloon safari at an extra cost.
