After being picked up from the airport and receiving a thorough tour briefing, you'll begin your journey to Arusha, enjoying a packed lunch along the way. The drive to Ndutu will take approximately 5.5 hours, covering a distance of 260 km.
As you travel, you'll enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area after about two hours. Here, you'll witness a stunning transformation in the landscape, shifting from hilly forests to expansive plains and lush grasslands. These sweeping grasslands gradually merge into the iconic Serengeti.
Ndutu is a vital stop on the route of the annual migration, where over 2 million wildebeest, along with thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles, traverse the area. During the prime season from December to March, you’ll experience the breathtaking sight of the fertile plains transforming into calving and nursery grounds for the great migration. This time of year also attracts a host of predators, eager to prey on vulnerable young wildebeest.

Afterward, we’ll continue our journey toward the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. The drive covers 75 km and will take approximately 2.5 hours, offering opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most impressive geological wonders, renowned as a supreme sanctuary of wilderness.
As the day draws to a close, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind at your accommodation, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of the day.

Ngorongoro crater - Arusha
On the final day of your safari, you'll rise early to make the most of your adventure. After a quick breakfast, you'll begin your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater around 6:30 a.m. This magnificent caldera is the largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera in the world, spanning approximately 260 square kilometers and plunging over 2,000 feet deep.
Prepare for an exhilarating 5 to 6-hour game drive on the crater floor, where you'll encounter a vibrant array of wildlife. Be sure to keep your camera ready, as you may spot African elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in abundance.
After enjoying a picnic lunch at the picturesque hippo pool, you'll begin your ascent back to the crater rim. This marks the final leg of your safari, with a scenic 4-hour drive remaining to Arusha. In the evening, you'll be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha or transferred to the airport, concluding your unforgettable safari experience.
