Kigali City and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Start the day with a brief Kigali city tour to major places of interest visiting the Genocide Museum. After the tour, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park in a 3-hour drive arriving in the afternoon. You will pass via the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo for a nature walk and sightseeing.

Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Kisoro

After breakfast, be taken for a briefing about golden monkey tracking, after which you will proceed to the forest. You will meet the golden monkeys, which are among the rare primate species only living in the Virunga massif. Return for a visit to the gorilla guardian village and later transfer to Kisoro in South Western Uganda.

Gorilla Trekking & Cultural visit

On this most anticipated day head to the park for a briefing about the do's and don'ts about the gorilla trek. You will be led to the forest amidst sightings of the different wildlife. Once you get to the gorillas you will be allowed in their presence for an hour taking photos and getting to know more about them. Return and go for a community visit where you will get to know more about the local people's culture. Meals and overnight at your hotel.

Canoe Ride & Transfer back to Kigali

After breakfast, you will be taken for an optional canoe ride along Lake Mutanda (At an additional cost). Visit the punishment island and other places of interest. Later have a relaxed drive back to Kigali arriving in the afternoon for a drop-off at your Hotel or airport depending on the schedule.
