Upon your arrival in Entebbe, you'll set out on a scenic drive toward Kibale National Park, the "Primate Capital of the World." As you journey through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, you'll pass tea plantations, dense forests, and vibrant villages. After a lunch stop in Fort Portal, a charming town known for its friendly locals and views of the Rwenzori Mountains, you’ll continue toward Kibale. Arriving at your lodge in the late afternoon, you’ll settle in and relax amidst the serene sounds of nature in preparation for your exciting chimpanzee trek the next day.

Today, you'll experience the thrill of tracking chimpanzees in Kibale’s rich rainforest. After an early breakfast, join your expert guides for a pre-trek briefing before venturing into the forest. Known for its high concentration of primates, Kibale offers you the chance to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat as they swing through trees, communicate with each other, and forage on the forest floor. With luck, you may also spot other primates, such as red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. After a memorable trek, return to your lodge for lunch. After breakfast, you’ll embark on a drive south toward either Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, known for their lush montane forests and diverse ecosystems. En route, enjoy the scenic beauty of southwestern Uganda’s terraced hills, deep valleys, and remote communities. This part of the journey offers great opportunities to capture Uganda's landscapes, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa." After a lunch stop along the way, continue toward your lodge near the gorilla trekking destination, arriving by evening. Relax and prepare for the following day’s once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience.
