On arrival in Victoria Falls, you will be met and transferred into this bustling town. Check-in at your boutique hotel, Pioneers Victoria Falls
Pioneers is a charming retreat nestled in the suburbs of Zimbabwe’s iconic Victoria Falls. It features elegantly furnished rooms centred around lush gardens, welcoming pool and restaurant. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated in a classic style, and each has a clear and open view of the garden. As well as comfortable furniture, multi plugs and good lighting, they all feature air-conditioners, fans, room safes, mosquito nets and tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has its own bathroom en-suite with shower, toilet and a double vanity unit. Pioneers is a family friendly property with four family rooms available.
Spend your time going to view the Victoria Falls, walking around the wonderful markets or taking a sunset cruise. There are wonderful activities to add on, please ask us for more activities.

Day 2
Fly to Hwange's Deteema Springs
Fly to Hwange's Deteema Springs
After breakfast, you will transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for a charter flight in a Cessna Caravan to Hwange National Park. Land at a northern airstrip called Robins where your guide from Deteema Springs Camp will be waiting for you. Your game viewing starts now! Transfer to camp and spend 3 nights at Deteema Springs.
Deteema Springs Camp, nestled in a small concession area within the renowned northern region of Hwange National Park, provides guests with an extraordinary safari experience. Situated near the Deteema Dam, the camp is perched on a rocky rise above permanent water springs, attracting high concentrations of wildlife, including iconic elephants. Although night safaris are restricted by park regulations, guests can enjoy guided walking safaris or simply marvel at the wildlife from the camp’s vantage points, offering immersion in nature without compromising on comfort.

Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest and most diverse reserve, spans over 14,600 square kilometres and is renowned for its vast elephant herds and remarkable wildlife. The park hosts over 100 mammal species, including lions, leopards, and rare African wild dogs, as well as 400 bird species. Diverse landscapes—from teak forests to open savannahs—provide rich habitats, making Hwange a top safari destination for thrilling game drives and intimate walking safaris.
Deteema Springs Camp is designed to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings. Each luxurious canvas tent is set on an elevated wooden deck along a hill’s contour, ensuring privacy and stunning views of the wilderness. The tents feature an en-suite bedroom with modern amenities, including hot and cold running water, an indoor shower, and a flush toilet. A private patio deck provides the perfect spot for relaxation and wildlife viewing, creating a refined, eco-luxury safari experience in the heart of Hwange.

Return to Victoria Falls for onward travel
Return to Victoria Falls for onward travel
After a shorter activity, you will transfer to the airstrip and fly back to Victoria Falls.
Consider adding on a visit to Deteema Springs' sister camp, Verney's or one of the other wonderful safari lodges in the central and southern section of Hwange, for very different topography and scenery, with epic game viewing. You can also fly to Mana Pools National Park or transfer over to Botswana's Chobe National Park from Victoria Falls. Ask us for more options.
