Your journey begins with an early morning departure, where you will be picked-up at your hotel/premises near Nairobi as you head north toward the breathtaking Samburu National Reserve. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Kenya, and witness the landscape transition to the rugged, arid beauty that Samburu is known for. Upon arrival at the reserve, you will check into your lodge and settle in for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot Samburu's unique wildlife, including Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and the graceful gerenuk, all of which are native to the area. As evening sets in, return to the lodge for a relaxing dinner and enjoy the serenity of the African night as you drift off to sleep surrounded by nature.

Samburu National Reserve

Rise early for a morning game drive to catch the sunrise and observe predators on the hunt. This is an optimal time to spot the big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, making for an exhilarating start to your day. After an exciting morning, return to the lodge for a late breakfast and some leisure time, where you may choose to unwind by the pool or take a guided nature walk to learn more about the reserve’s ecosystem. Later in the afternoon, set out again to explore Samburu further. Keep an eye out for the "Samburu Five" — the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx — rare species found only in this region.
