When you explore the Central Serengeti, you're enjoying one of the best wildlife destinations in northern Tanzania. Here you'll find the large populations of wildlife for which the Serengeti is famous. You'll also have a good chance of seeing big cats. This area has plenty of northern Tanzania's iconic acacia trees, as well as seemingly endless Serengeti horizons.

Serengeti National Park
The entire day is set aside for a game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
The Serengeti is an abundant wildlife habitat, such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos. However, it is more well-known for its annual migration of herds of zebras and wildebeest. The rainfall determines the time of the year when the animals migrate and vary yearly. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. They return to the north during the extended rainy season from April to June. Apart from the migrating herds, you might have the chance to see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, always lurking nearby.
After an unforgettable day, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

The breathtaking views of the rising sun over the crater's edge reward early risers! After a hearty breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the Seven Wonders of Africa and the most incredible ecosystems on Earth, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano. It is 610m deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000, the crater offers the best wildlife-viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In a matter of minutes, you will see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. You might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass with a bit of luck. After the game drives in Ngorongoro Crater, you will drive back to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at Kibo Palace Hotel.

Arusha to Zanzibar Island
After breakfast, we will take you to Arusha Airport and take your flight to Zanzibar.
Zanzibar Stone Town is a fascinating place to visit. A Unesco World Heritage Site, this absorbing port town was once the hub of a trade network that extended across the Indian Ocean to Persia, India, and beyond. Stone Town's rich and varied pedigree is reflected in the distinctive architecture of the multi-story coral stone houses that line its alleys, as well as the cosmopolitan feel of the local Swahili culture.

During your Stone Town tour, you’ll encounter numerous historical sites that narrate this intricate history. There's so much to enjoy about a boat excursion to Changuu Island. The island itself, with its well-preserved late-19th-century quarantine center and open-air sanctuary protecting a group of giant tortoises introduced from the Seychelles. Then, finally, tides and weather permitting, swimming, snorkeling, and a seafood barbecue on a narrow tidal sandbar known as Nakupenda Island. It's a great day out!
