In the morning at 6am embark on a 2.5-hour scenic drive northwest to Volcanoes National Park. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Rwandan countryside.
Upon arrival at Volcanoes National Park, you'll join a guided expedition to track golden monkeys. These lively and playful primates are found only in the Virunga volcanic region and are a rare treat to observe in the wild. Follow your guide through the bamboo forests, where you'll see them leaping gracefully between trees, feeding, and playing. This experience typically takes around 3-4 hours, including the hike.
Lunch: After your golden monkey trek, enjoy a hearty lunch at a nearby lodge or restaurant.
Afternoon – Community Cultural Tour: Later in the afternoon, engage in a community tour where you’ll have the chance to learn about the traditional ways of life in this region. Meet local artisans who create beautiful crafts, visit a farming family, and observe daily routines that have been part of Rwandan culture for centuries.

Gorilla Trekking: Today is the highlight of your journey! After an early breakfast, proceed to the Bwindi park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety. Then, in small groups, you'll set off into the dense rainforest, through vines, bamboo, and tall trees
After some time hiking (trekking can range from 2-8hours depending on the gorilla family's location), you'll come face-to-face with a gorilla family. Spend a magical hour observing these majestic creatures as they feed, play, and interact within their family group.
Lunch & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: After your trek, return to your lodge for lunch and a brief rest before heading to Lake Bunyonyi one of Uganda’s most beautiful destinations & for its remarkable birdlife.
Arriving at Lake Bunyonyi, embark on a serene sunset canoeing experience on the lake’s calm waters. Glide past terraced hillsides and small islands, while the sky turns vivid shades of orange and pink as the sun sets.

Morning – Scenic Boat Ride on Lake Bunyonyi: Start your day with a relaxing morning boat ride around Lake Bunyonyi, renowned for its 29 islands, each with its own unique story and beauty. Discover local legends as you pass by Punishment Island, where girls who became pregnant out of wedlock were once abandoned. Enjoy birdwatching as well, as the lake is home to numerous bird species that thrive in its tranquil environment.
Transfer to Kigali: After your morning on the lake, bid farewell to Uganda and head back to Kigali, crossing the Rwanda-Uganda border en route. You’ll arrive in Kigali by late afternoon, where your incredible journey concludes. If time allows, consider a brief Kigali city tour, visiting landmarks such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial or local craft markets to pick up souvenirs before your departure.
