Pick Up from Entebbe to Kibale National Park at 1pm

The pick-up will be from either the hotel or the airport upon arrival. The assigned professional English-speaking tour driver-guide will pick/receive you. You'll embark on a transfer that will see you stay overnight at the edge of Kibale National Park. Upon arrival at the accommodation, you'll check in and just relax. #Optional (extra cost 15$ pp): If time allows and you’re interested, you can proceed for the crater lakes excursion. You will enjoy the beauty of the numerous small lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and the stunning views all over. Otherwise, just enjoy your rest at the facility.

Day 2
Bigodi Excursion and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Bigodi Excursion and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You'll have breakfast and move out for the Bigodi wetlands excursion. The Bigodi wetland boasts an extensive array of biodiversity, among which are several primate species like the black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, and baboons. The Bigodi is also a paradise for bird watchers. *Optional (extra cost 230$ pp): If interested, you can consider chimp tracking (Kibale Forest) in place of the Bigodi wetlands excursion. Please take note that the permit for chimp tracking needs to be secured before the actual date. From the Bigodi (or Kibale Forest), you'll embark (right away) on a transfer (about 2hrs) to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will reach Queen with some time available to move out for game viewing. During the game drive/viewing, look out for wild animals like lions, the elusive leopard, herds of elephants, and buffaloes, to mention but a few.

Day 3
Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Experience
Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Experience
You'll be up early and have your breakfast. You'll proceed for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and be on the lookout for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants, lions, and leopards (though hard to spot), among others. You'll return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife, including giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, among others, will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water's edge. *After the boat trip, you can decide either to return to the lodge to rest or first proceed for a brief late afternoon game drive. Thereafter, you'll return to the lodge.

Day 4

Man Eaters of Ishasha and Transfer to the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi
You'll enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then head to the Ishasha sector (Southern Queen) in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions stands at about 60-70%, but sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them up in the tree, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you'll embark on the final leg of your journey, which will take you to the accommodation situated right at the edge of Bwindi National Park. Once at the lodge, you can choose to just relax or (at an extra cost 25$ pp.) move out for the late afternoon-to-evening local community and cultural encounter. This involves cultural dances from the local people of the community and also participating in some activities, e.g. traditional cooking, weaving among others.

Day 5

You'll have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular! The area offers a dramatic, steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. You'll return to the accommodation and have a good rest after a strenuous trek. #Optional (extra cost): If interested, you can still move out again to encounter the local community.

You'll have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge. Thereafter, you'll drive off to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of 2,200 – 2,478m, but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day. You will enjoy a canoe trek on the lake, which will introduce you to the major islands and their rich history, but also, there will be some great time spent in the traditional dugout canoe. Thereafter, you will return to the accommodation for more relaxation with some spectacular views of the Bunyonyi right in front of you.

Day 7
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
You'll enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then set off to Lake Mburo National Park. Mburo is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Entebbe/Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah National Parks but home to so many bird species as well as animals such as giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, and the elusive leopards, among others. You'll arrive and check in for some rest before heading out for a late afternoon-to-evening game drive that will bring you up close with the Mburo inhabitants. Finally, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. #Optional (extra cost 30$ pp.): If interested, you may consider the night game drive to encounter nocturnal creatures, which will be a rare sighting compared to the regular daytime sightings.

You'll enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo National Park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. On this early morning guided walk, you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range) zebras, giraffes, elands, topis, other antelopes, and Cape buffaloes, among others. You'll take the trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo National Park. Thereafter, you will return to the accommodation for check out and then hit the road to Entebbe Airport.
