2 travelers on Start dateWe will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park. Since the establishment of national parks in 1970, the area has transformed from seasonal marshes to the expansive savannah you see today. Tarangire boasts the highest density of elephants in Tanzania, with herds sometimes reaching up to 300 elephants. The Tarangire River, which has a steady water supply throughout the year, becomes especially important during the dry season when many animals from the surrounding areas gather there to drink. During this time, you will witness nature at its finest, also observing lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes and gazelles. Tarangire is a paradise for bird watching, home to over 550 species including the unique Masai Ostrich. In the afternoon we will stop at a scenic picnic spot where you can enjoy more wildlife watching. Before sunset we will return you to Arusha leaving you with unforgettable memories of the park’s beauty and wildlife.
