Fly to Nyerere National Park and Game Drive

Your day will begin with a pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar, where our professional driver will transport you to Zanzibar Airport. From there, you'll take a flight to Mtemere Airstrip, located in Nyerere National Park.

Upon arrival, you'll embark on a full-day game drive through the vast expanse of Africa's largest national park, home to a rich variety of wildlife, birds, rivers, and lakes. You’ll likely encounter elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and many other fascinating animals along the way.

In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a packed lunch and have some time to relax. The game drive will then continue, culminating in a stunning sunset as you make your way to your lodge by the banks of the Rufiji River. There, you'll settle in for an overnight stay and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Game Drive Then fly back to Zanzibar

On this day, you'll start early with a cup of coffee or tea before heading out on a boat safari along the Rufiji River. This river is home to a variety of indigenous species, including hippos, Nile crocodiles, and an array of birdlife, especially stunning at sunrise.

After your boat safari, you'll return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Then, you'll embark on a village tour of nearby Mloka village, guided by our expert, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the local culture.

Following the tour, you'll enjoy lunch at the lodge. Later, our professional driver will transfer you to Mtemere Airstrip in Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) for your 4 pm flight back to Zanzibar. Upon your arrival in Zanzibar, a driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
