Serengeti National Park
This day is set aside for game drives on the Serengeti. The Serengeti is the habitat of an abundance of wildlife such as impalas, buffals, crocodiles, and hippos, and is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, you may have the opportunity to see the resident predators —leopard, cheetah, and lion —fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
After an extensive game drive, you'll head for your tented lodge for a hearty dinner and another night by the fire of relaxation and conversation under the sweeping majesty of the star-bright African night out upon the ‘Endless Plain’.

Speak with your safari guide about how you can add this unforgettable experience to your safari. Crater to Karatu District
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater, considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation. Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamuses enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, cape buffalos, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari locations.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive to our final destination on this epic safari —Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small but diverse park is 120km west of Arusha. It is so named for the shallow Salt Lake that covers some seventy percent of the surface area, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and the extraordinary region of 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes —not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs. After lunch, you'll head back to Arusha where you will arrive in the late afternoon.

You will learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted, and further processed. You will also be invited to help with the grinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances —a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture. With some luck, you will see the summit of Kilimanjaro. Before you say goodbye and return in the late afternoon to Moshi, you can savor the coffee you made and appreciate the views of the surrounding mountain rainforest.
