Upon your early arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be met and warmly greeted by your dedicated guide. After a comprehensive briefing on your safari adventure, we set off for Samburu National Reserve. The drive north takes us through Kenya’s contrasting landscapes, transitioning from lush highlands to the rugged and arid beauty of Samburu. En route, enjoy lunch at the famous Trout Tree Restaurant, an eco-friendly venue known for its fresh trout dishes served in a captivating treehouse setting.
Once we reach Samburu, embark on an afternoon game drive. The park is renowned for its unique wildlife species, collectively known as the “Samburu Special Five”: Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk. These species thrive in the reserve's semi-arid environment. As evening falls, check in at Samburu Sopa Lodge, where you will have dinner and settle into your comfortable accommodation, surrounded by the dramatic landscape of Samburu.

Today is dedicated to a full exploration of Samburu National Reserve. You will head out for a morning game drive to take advantage of the cooler hours, when wildlife is most active. Samburu’s life-giving Ewaso Ng'iro River attracts diverse species, making it a hotspot for wildlife encounters. Expect to see large herds of elephants, prides of lions lounging in the shade, and leopards resting in the trees. Birdwatchers will also delight in the over 450 recorded bird species, from the striking vulturine guineafowl to the majestic martial eagle.
Enjoy a picnic lunch within the reserve as you soak in the sights and sounds of the wilderness. In the afternoon, continue your game drive to spot any species that may have eluded you earlier. Return to Samburu Sopa Lodge for dinner and relaxation after an exhilarating day of wildlife viewing.

After breakfast, depart for Aberdare National Park, a scenic region characterized by its cool, misty highlands and dense forested slopes. Arrive at The Ark Lodge in time for lunch. Modeled after Noah’s Ark, this unique lodge is built on stilts and overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, offering unparalleled opportunities to view wildlife from various observation decks.
In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through Aberdare National Park, where you may spot elephants, buffalos, bushbucks, and even the elusive bongo antelope in the forested areas. Aberdare’s landscape also features spectacular waterfalls and scenic moorlands. Today, we journey to Lake Naivasha, a fresh-water lake in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival at Naivasha Sopa Resort, enjoy a sumptuous lunch amidst beautifully landscaped grounds by the lake. In the afternoon, embark on a serene boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you’ll have close encounters with hippos and observe a variety of bird species, such as African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans.
Following the boat ride, a guided walking safari on Crescent Island Game Sanctuary offers a unique experience to walk among giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes in an environment reminiscent of Eden. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Masai Mara, where you’ll be immersed in the awe-inspiring landscape of rolling savannahs and acacia woodlands.
The Mara is home to a dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. Be on the lookout for cheetahs gracefully sprinting across the plains and hyenas lurking nearby. Return to Losokwan Luxury Camp for dinner, and unwind under the star-filled sky, with the sounds of the wild all around you.

Today, enjoy a full-day game drive in the spectacular Masai Mara. We’ll carry packed lunches to maximize our time in the reserve, allowing for uninterrupted wildlife viewing. The Masai Mara offers one of the most rewarding safari experiences, with endless opportunities to observe wildlife interactions. During the Great Migration season (July to October), witness the dramatic river crossings as wildebeests and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters. Otherwise, marvel at the sight of large predator-prey dynamics and watch as elephants traverse the plains.
You’ll visit the Mara River, a significant geographical landmark in the reserve, and drive through different habitats to capture the best of the Mara’s wildlife diversity. Return to Losokwan Luxury Camp in the evening for dinner and your final night in this stunning wilderness.
