The journey itself will be an experience, taking you through Uganda’s verdant countryside, filled with rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and bustling local villages.

Gorilla tracking in Bwindi and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi

Today is the highlight of your trip—gorilla trekking! After a hearty breakfast, you’ll head out early to meet your trekking group and guide. Each trekker is assigned to a specific gorilla group, depending on the sector. Your adventure begins with a briefing on how to approach the gorillas respectfully. The trek can last between 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you find them, you’ll spend an hour with these majestic creatures, observing their natural behavior—whether it’s playful young ones, protective silverbacks, or wise matriarchs. The sight of them moving gracefully through the forest is a truly humbling experience. After the hour, you’ll begin your hike back to the starting point and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. In the afternoon, unwind at your lodge, perhaps with a refreshing drink. In the evening, immerse yourself in a Batwa cultural experience before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on a day you’ll never forget.

Boat ride and transfer back to Entebbe

Enjoy your last day with a boat ride around the lake, exploring islands like Akampene (Punishment Island) or visit local villages. Thereafter drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator monument and lunch in Mbarara. Drive back through to Kampala/Entebbe where your guide will drop you off at the airport for your onward flight.
