You'll depart on your flight from Cape Town Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. On your arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga Airport, you'll be met and transferred to Pestana Kruger Lodge, situated on the banks of the Crocodile River. The Crocodile River attracts large numbers of animals, and this area is renowned for its great wildlife viewing. The southern area of the Kruger National Park is the most rewarding area of the Kruger National Park for game viewing. Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds, and 147 mammals. The world-renowned Kruger Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks among the best in Africa. Later this afternoon, your first game drive in an open wildlife viewing vehicle is undertaken into the Kruger Park under the guidance of a Kruger field guide. Dinner is enjoyed in the lodge’s restaurant on your return.

An early wake-up call signals the start of an exciting day in Big Five territory. This is a special time of day as the Kruger awakens and comes to life. Since this is a Big Five territory, encountering lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and other wildlife is possible on this safari. Excitement will mount as you start seeing some of the numerous animals that inhabit this magnificent wildlife sanctuary. There are thrilling encounters around every corner!
You'll return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You'll relax at the pool or spend time enjoying the views from your Premium River View room balcony or from the deck at the restaurant. Lunch can be enjoyed on the deck at Pestana Kruger Lodge which overlooks the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park (at your own cost).
Later, this afternoon you will be collected for your late afternoon/sunset open vehicle safari. After your game drive, you'll return to Pestana Kruger Lodge for dinner.

An early wake-up call signals the start of another exciting day in Big Five territory. You'll be collected by your Kruger safari guide in front of the reception area at Pestana Kruger Lodge for your early morning safari and head out into the African bush on an open safari vehicle. Your knowledgeable guide will interpret the bush and give you a detailed explanation of the animal's behavior. We hope to catch sight of some big cats early in the morning, as this is the optimal time to observe them before they withdraw to the shade for the remainder of the day. This is the last time to spot the big cats and other wildlife, like elephants, giraffes, hippos, cape buffalos, crocodiles, and different antelope species. After breakfast, you'll be collected at Pestana Kruger Lodge and transferred back to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Nelspruit in time for your return flight to Cape Town.
