You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Arusha by your safari guide at 6 AM. From there, you will embark on a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, passing by the crater viewpoint before descending into the crater for an exciting game drive. Often called the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth. It was formed more than 2 million years ago when the Ngorongoro volcano erupted and its walls collapsed, creating a natural enclosure. Spanning over 19 kilometers in width, the crater hosts a variety of habitats, including acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. With a population of more than 30,000 animals—including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, the endangered black rhinoceros, as well as numerous bird species and predators like lions—you’ll enjoy an unforgettable wildlife experience. After the game drive, you'll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
