Samburu National Reserve Safari

You will be picked from the Airport or Hotel and start the journey to Samburu National Reserve. Along the way, you will have the opportunity of crossing the equator as you pass the snow-capped Mount Kenya.

Upon arrival, you will check in to Samburu Simba Lodge where you will take lunch. Afterwards you will go for an afternoon game drive.

Full Day Safari in Samburu NR

We spend the entire day exploring Samburu National Reserve, beginning with a morning game drive for ideal light and the chance to photograph a variety of wildlife species. Mid-morning and afternoon drives offer opportunities to spot the big cats—cheetahs, leopards, and lions—alongside Samburu buffalos and elephants. The Ewaso Nyiro River is teeming with Nile crocodiles, and the reserve boasts diverse wildlife and birdwatching, including rare dry-country species unique to the area.

We can opt for a full day in the reserve with picnic lunches, or, for an additional fee, visit a Samburu village to experience the culture and traditions of the Samburu people.
