After being picked up from the hotel or airport, you will begin your journey to Samburu National Reserve. As you travel past the snow-capped Mount Kenya, you will have the chance to cross the equator.

After arriving, you will check into Samburu Simba Lodge and have lunch there. You will then go on a game drive in the afternoon.

Day 2

Full Day Samburu National Park

We begin the day with a morning game drive to take advantage of the ideal lighting for photography and to capture a variety of wildlife. The rest of the day is dedicated to exploring Samburu National Reserve. During mid-morning and afternoon drives, you’ll have the chance to see the big cats—cheetahs, leopards, and lions—alongside Samburu buffalos and elephants. The Ewaso Nyiro River hosts numerous Nile crocodiles, and the reserve offers rich opportunities for wildlife and birdwatching, featuring unique dry-country species found only in this region.

For an additional fee, you can visit a Samburu village to learn about the Samburu people’s customs and culture, or choose to spend the whole day in the reserve with picnic lunches.

Day 3

Samburu NR - Aberdare National Park

Samburu NR - Aberdare National Park

We head to Aberdare National Park after breakfast. Encompassing 766 square kilometers, the park is a component of the Aberdare Mountain range. Its sceneries are diverse, ranging from the tops of mountains to their deep, v-shaped valleys that are crossed by rivers, streams, and waterfalls. We check into your hotel, where you will take lunch, spend the night and have dinner. Its 4 observation decks, each with a balcony and lounge, are modeled after Noah's Ark and offer excellent game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. Here, the creatures approach you!

After lunch, you will have an afternoon game drive in Aberdare National Park.

Day 4

Aberdare National Park - Lake Naivasha

Aberdare National Park - Lake Naivasha

On this day you will take a morning game drive after which you will take a full breakfast. You will then head to Lake Naivasha which is about 2 to 3 hours away. Upon arriving you check in to Lake Naivasha Simba lodge where you will take your lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take a boat trip in Lake Naivasha and visit Crescent Island for a walking safari.
