Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the highlight of your journey – an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience! After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. The rangers will share insights on gorilla behavior, trekking guidelines, and safety measures.

Then, accompanied by experienced guides, you’ll venture into the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can last between 2-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, and may require traversing steep, rugged terrain. However, the effort is rewarded when you finally encounter a gorilla family. Spending an hour in close proximity to these gentle giants in their natural habitat is a truly moving and memorable experience.

After your trek, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi to relax and reflect on the experience. In the evening, you can choose to take a community tour to interact with local Batwa people or enjoy some downtime at your accommodation.
