Trek Description:
This day is designed for acclimatization. You will hike up to Lava Tower at 4,630m (a form of “climb high, sleep low”) and then descend to Barranco Camp.
The Lava Tower area is rocky and exposed, with incredible views of the surrounding glaciers and cliffs.
The descent to Barranco Camp helps your body adjust to the altitude, and you get to rest for the night at 3,960m.

Trek Description:
You will begin your ascent to the summit around midnight, climbing through the night. The goal is to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro, around sunrise.
The ascent is tough, with the final stretch being especially challenging due to altitude and the long hours of trekking.
After reaching the summit, you’ll descend to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.
