Arrival at Nyungwe National Park & Royal Palace Museum

Morning:
• 7:00 AM – Depart early for Nyungwe National Park. Enroute, visit the Royal Palace Museum in Nyanza, where you’ll learn about Rwanda’s monarchy, culture, and royal traditions.
• 10:30 AM – Continue your journey, enjoying scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and lush landscapes.
Midday:
• 12:30 PM – Arrive at Nyungwe, check into your lodge, and have a light lunch while taking in the natural surroundings.
Afternoon:
• 2:00 PM – Head to the Canopy Walk for a thrilling experience 50 meters above the forest floor. The walk offers spectacular views of the rainforest, and you may spot monkeys, birds, and other wildlife.
Evening:
• 5:00 PM – Return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening, followed by a delicious dinner. Reflect on your first day in Nyungwe.
Night:
• Overnight stay in the park, ready for more adventures the following day.

Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe National Park

Morning:
• 6:00 AM – After an early breakfast, depart for the chimpanzee tracking experience in Nyungwe. Your guide will lead you through the lush rainforest, searching for one of the park’s chimpanzee troops. Along the way, you'll also encounter a variety of wildlife, birds, and exotic plants.
• 8:00 AM – After a thrilling trek, you’ll spend time observing the chimpanzees in their natural habitat as they forage, play, and socialize. This close encounter offers an unforgettable glimpse into the lives of these incredible primates.
Midday:
• 11:00 AM – Return to your lodge and enjoy a well-deserved lunch, reflecting on your chimpanzee tracking experience.
Afternoon:
• 1:00 PM – If time allows, take a short walk along one of the park's nature trails to explore more of Nyungwe’s biodiversity.
• 3:00 PM – Begin your journey back to Kigali, concluding your 2-day adventure.
Evening:
• 6:00 PM – Arrive in Kigali, marking the end of your budget-friendly Nyungwe adventure.
