Upon arrival at Addis Ababa International, you will be transferred to the domestic terminal for your to Jimma, located in the southwest of Ethiopia. Upon arrival in Jimma, your vehicle will be waiting to take you on a scenic drive to Chebera-Churchura National Park. The journey will offer you the chance to witness the beautiful landscape of the southwestern highlands. Upon reaching the park, you will have time to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the natural surroundings, including the stunning sunset over the park.

Wildlife Exploration in Chebera-Churchura National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a thrilling game drive inside Chebera-Churchura National Park. Known for its diverse and rich wildlife, the park is one of Ethiopia's less-explored gems. Its varied topography, which includes hilly terrain, valleys, gorges, and numerous rivers and streams, provides a unique habitat for a wide range of animals. Among the park’s inhabitants are African elephants, hippopotamuses, Cape buffaloes, lions, and leopards, as well as a variety of bird species including Trogons and Turacos.

Lake Bulo Excursion and Continued Wildlife Viewing

After breakfast, you will embark on a guided walk to Lake Bulo, with the assistance of local guides and scouts. This excursion provides an opportunity to observe more of the park’s abundant wildlife, including African elephants, hippopotamuses, Cape buffaloes, and, with some luck, lions and leopards. The diverse ecosystem around the lake makes it an ideal spot for wildlife viewing and birdwatching.
