Your hike begins at 3,500 meters above sea level, leading you through the rugged and untouched beauty of the Shira Plateau. Stepping out of the vehicle, you'll lace up your shoes and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and vibrant colors of Tanzania's wild landscapes.
You'll be treated to stunning views of Kilimanjaro's northern glaciers and its towering peak, Kibo, as you explore various trails, accompanied by an expert ranger. The vistas of the highest free-standing mountain on Earth contrast with the expansive plains of Kenya's Amboseli National Park and the dramatic Simba River gorge. Along the northern rim of Shira Crater, you'll pause at several observation points to admire the volcanic cones that punctuate the landscape. After a four-hour hike, or a shorter journey if needed, you'll return to your hotel.
