Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe, where our driver-guide will pick you up. Begin the scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of Uganda's most renowned wildlife sanctuaries. The journey takes approximately 9-10 hours, but the drive through Uganda’s rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and small villages is full of charm.

Scenic Stops:
Along the way, make a brief stop at the Equator for photos and to stretch your legs. Enjoy a light lunch in Mbarara. As you ascend into the mountainous terrain, you'll begin to see the dramatic beauty of Bwindi, known for its lush rainforests and misty landscapes.

Afternoon:
Arrive in Bwindi in the late afternoon and check in at your lodge nestled in the forested hills. Take in the tranquil surroundings and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Evening:
After settling in, enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge. Share stories with fellow travelers, and prepare for an early start the next day.

Morning:
After a hearty breakfast, head to the Bwindi park headquarters for your gorilla briefing. The rangers will equip you with necessary information on tracking etiquette and safety guidelines. Then, embark on a gorilla trek through the dense and rugged forest of Bwindi. The trek typically lasts 2-6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located.

The moment you encounter a gorilla family, all your efforts are rewarded. Spend an hour observing them interact, play, and forage—an experience that’s bound to leave you in awe of these magnificent creatures.

Afternoon:
Return to the lodge for a relaxing lunch. Afterward, set out for the scenic drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (approx. 2-3 hours). This short drive brings you to the foot of the Virunga Volcanoes, where Mgahinga is nestled.

Evening:
Arrive at your lodge in Mgahinga, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner with views of the volcanoes. Take some time to relax and reflect on your incredible gorilla encounter.

Afternoon:
After your golden monkey tracking, return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch. Post-lunch, embark on a 3-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, located at the heart of the Virunga Mountains. The route offers stunning views of Rwanda’s lush countryside as you make your way to the park.

Evening:
Arrive at your lodge in Volcanoes National Park in the late afternoon. Take in the spectacular scenery, with the distant peaks of Mount Karisimbi and Mount Bisoke forming a majestic backdrop. Enjoy dinner at your lodge as you prepare for the next day's exciting trek.

Morning: Wake up early and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to Volcanoes NP for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience.

While Rwanda is primarily known for its gorillas, chimpanzees also inhabit the park, offering a thrilling yet lesser-known wildlife experience. You'll trek through the park’s lush bamboo forest vegetation, as you search for the chimpanzees.

Expect an exhilarating trek lasting 1 to 4 hours. Once you find them, you'll have an hour to observe their fascinating behaviors—from feeding and grooming to playful interactions.

Afternoon: Return to your lodge for a delicious lunch.

After lunch, embark on a scenic drive to Kigali, Rwanda's vibrant capital (approx. 2.5 to 3 hours).

Evening: Arrive in Kigali by late afternoon, to either check into your hotel or for your onward journey. If time permits, consider visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, an incredibly moving experience that offers a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s history.
