On arrival in Kigali after checking in your hotel, your tour begins with the somber and reflective visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, a poignant reminder of Rwanda's tragic past. The memorial center is dedicated to the victims of the 1994 genocide, where over 80,000 people lost their lives. With a guide you will be briefed and shown around the place, prepare for an emotional journey ahead as you will see the massive graves, the exhibition, the children's room and the walled garden among others. There after we go for an evening city tour through Kigali to our hotel and rest, refresh, relax for the next day adventure.

Embark on an exciting morning game drive in Akagera National park, Rwanda's largest protected area. The park is a home to a diverse range of wildlife including the big 5, antelopes, giraffes, hippos, zebras among others. After lunch, embark on a relaxing boat cruise on lake Ehema, the second largest lake in Rwanda where you will spot hippos, crocodiles, a variety of bird species and enjoy the scenic view of the stunning lake scenery and surrounding hills. In the morning, hit the road to Nyungwe national park as we pass through scenic landscapes and rolling hills, stop at local markets and interact with the vendors and view points along the way. Check into our amazing accommodation with a view of the forest and other scenery and have lunch. There after we visit Gisakuratea plantation, nestled in the picturesque hills surrounding Nyungwe national park. Learn about Rwanda's tea industry and production process, take a guided tour of the plantation, enjoy a tea tasting session, sampling local varieties. Transfer back to the lodge relax, refresh and rest for the next day adventure.

Day 4

After breakfast in the morning, we go to the briefing point and be given guidelines on the trek by the park rangers. The trek is done in groups of 8, trek into Nyungwe forest to track chimpanzees, observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat, learn about chimpanzee behavior, social structures and conservation. Have an up close encounter and witness chimpanzees feeding, playing and interacting. After the trek we have lunch and then embark on a guided canopy walk along Nyungwe's famous suspension bridge, enjoy breathtaking views of the forest and spot monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Relax at the lodge, sharing stories of the day's adventures.

We pass through the scenic landscapes and rolling hills, stop at local markets or viewpoints along the way. At around noon, we reach volcanoes national park and check in to our lodge with a view of the virunga mountains as we relax and refresh after the journey as we prepare for the gorilla tracking the next day.

In the morning, we go for briefing by the park rangers who tell us the guidelines on the gorilla trek. Trek into volcanoes national park to track mountain gorillas, observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, learn about gorilla behavior, social structures and conservation as you enjoy the breathtaking views of the virunga mountains and the mist in the forest as the gorillas feed, play and interact. After having lunch and resting from the trek, we visit the Dian Fossey museum that was dedicated to the pioneering conservationist. Learn about Fossey's life, work and legacy, explore exhibits on gorilla conservation, research and habitat preservation.
