Arrive in Antananarivo, Madagascar’s bustling capital city. Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport by our local team and transferred to your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing or exploring the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, and enjoy a welcome briefing to prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 2

Antananarivo-Andasibe

Antananarivo-Andasibe

After breakfast, depart from Antananarivo and embark on a scenic drive eastward to Andasibe, a region rich in tropical rainforests. The journey takes you through the lush landscapes of the eastern highlands, where you’ll see traditional villages, rice paddies, and vibrant local markets along the way. In the evening, take a guided night walk in the forest, where you’ll have the chance to spot nocturnal species such as chameleons, tree frogs, and the elusive nocturnal lemurs.

Day 3

Andasibe National Park

Andasibe National Park

Spend the day exploring Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, one of Madagascar’s premier wildlife reserves. The park is known for its population of Indri Indri, the largest lemur species, famous for their haunting calls that echo through the forest. Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll hike through the dense rainforest, spotting other lemur species like the Diademed Sifaka, Bamboo Lemur, and unique bird species like the Blue Coua. This is also a wonderful opportunity to observe the area’s incredible flora, including orchids, pandanus, and rare ferns.

Day 4

Andasibe to Palmarium

Andasibe to Palmarium

In the morning, depart Andasibe and head southward to the Palmarium Reserve. This unique private reserve, situated on the banks of the Pangalanes Canal, is home to various species of lemurs, including the Crowned Lemur, Black-and-White Ruffed Lemur, and Coquerel’s Sifaka. In the evening, take a boat trip on the calm waters of the Pangalanes to a small island that you can spot the very rare nocturnal lemurs known as AYE AYE.

Palmarium to Mahambo

After breakfast, take a scenic boat ride along the Pangalanes Canal and then drive north to the vibrant coastal city of Toamasina. Here, you’ll have the chance to see bustling local markets and experience Malagasy culture along the coast. Continue on to the peaceful beach village of Mahambo, a charming spot perfect for relaxing by the ocean and sampling fresh seafood.
